Stuck on Movies: Buffy Restart

I'm not sure what it's been lately, but I've been craving good movie news.  It may have something to do with not getting out to see anything good lately, but I'm not really sure.  This may not come as epic news, but for fans it has the potential to be a big deal.

Right now vampires are a gold mine.  Almost everyone has caught "Twilight" fever or something similar to it; making this the perfect time for another fan favorite, in the world of the undead, to receive new life.  This time our sites are set on Buffy the Vampire Slayer!  Sparing you a lot of the history behind the previous movie and TV series, the big news is that the Japanese company that still has the rights to the series is considering a restart for our girl Buffy. 

Hoping to tap into a fresh generation, if the idea takes off, we'll see a new slayer with a darker attitude and a plot that moves on a much larger scale.  We may even see a new franchise develop.  There isn't much set in stone yet, but I wanted to pass along the potential good news.
