Santana is set to be honored at the Billboard Latin Music Conference and Awards. The classic rocker has been tapped to receive a Lifetime Achievement Award at the event in recognition of his contributions in promoting Latin music and bridging the sound with other musical genres. Other honorees include reggaetón star Daddy Yankee, who will earn The Spirit of Hope Award for his charity work, and the late Spanish Broadcasting System founder Raul Alarcón Sr., who's earning the Hall of Fame Award for the advancements he made in the Latin radio industry in the U.S. The award recipients will be formally acknowledged during the Billboard Latin Music Awards, which is capping off the Billboard Latin Music Conference. The four-day conference began Monday at the Eden Roc Resort in Miami Beach, Florida.
The Billboard Latin Music Awards will air live on Telemundo tonight.
