Can you believe it? Former professional football player; former professional dog fighting entrepreneur; and current social pariah, Michael Vick, is in talks to produce and star in a reality show documenting his life upon release from prison in July! I know I shouldn't be surprised, but I am. These reality shows were cute and all, when we focused on the vapid, and the innocuous, like the Kardashians, or Bret Michaels' skank of the week, but seriously! The things Michael Vick has done are unforgivable, and I'm disgusted that he could make a profit off his notoriety (they are offering him $600,000 to produce, plus an additional fee to star). Celebrities have found the most insidious way to "normalize" their bad behavior, by endearing themselves to us through reality TV shows. As the proud pa-pa to a 8 year old rescued pit bull, I say a loud "NO" to this one!
Are you with me?
Scott.

Michael Vick in talks to produce reality show
Sporting News staff reports
Michael Vick has talked to producers about a reality show that would follow Vick beginning on July 20, the day he is scheduled to be released from federal custody, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
TV producers visited Vick in prison to discuss signing him to a deal, sources told the entertainment trade publication, and insiders believe the show could air on A&E or Spike TV.
Vick's lawyers told a bankruptcy judge earlier this month that the suspended Falcons QB has agreed to a "television documentary deal" that will pay him $600,000.
But, in addition, Vick wants "a high dollar figure for participation in the show," according to the Hollywood Reporter.
