Although the Stone Temple Pilot's song, Vasoline, is spelled differently than our fave brand of petroleum jelly, Vaseline, it's just as sticky.

Scott Weiland uses the metaphor for a fly stuck in Vasoline, who struggles in the goo but is ultimately doomed, equating it with "feeling like an insect under a magnifying glass" in the song.

With all of Weiland's drug & legal troubles, it's no wonder he feels that way.

Tune in for another lesson in Simon's School of Rock, weeknights at 8 on 106.5 the Arch.
