In an time when society is becoming more & more child-centric, adjusting every location, rule or law to make sure children fight no germ or potential hazard, there are a few who buck the system.  I will admit that I'm among the happily "child-free by choice" who are embracing our right to choose to never have or raise children in an overpopulated world.  There's nothing wrong with parenting, by the way, but it's becoming more accepted for individuals of child-bearing age to choose not to parent at all.

So, today when surfing the Net, I was elated to see a story from USA Today featuring Kelly Clarkson.  In the article, she says, "Oh, my God, I have no desire.  I would not be a good mother."

She was realistic about the fact that her job, which she loves, is too demanding & selfish to allow her to be a good mother.  I wish more people would own up to their lack of parenting talents & choose to leave the child-rearing to those who want to, & are good at it.

Then again, we have the Nadia Suleman's of the world who SHOULDN'T be parents, yet end up with 14.

Bravo Kelly Clarkson for being true to yourself!
