Over the years, I’ve had just as much fun as the next guy, reveling in the train wreck that is the life of the pop star we call Britney Spears. But she really deserves credit for something that she did this weekend. Britney, who's currently on her "Circus World Tour", is donating $100,000 to the Miami Childrens Hospital's Big Apple Circus Clown Care program.
She made a surprise, 30-minute visit with 40 sick children at the hospital Saturday before her show at the American Airlines Arena. Spears posed for photos with the kids and signed autographs. So, seriously, I know it’s not as much fun as the old days when she was cookoo for Cocoa Puffs, and shaving her head, but this is important. So, good going Britney, I think it's fantastic! By the way, The Clown Care program provides young patients with treatment from real life clowns with medical training…. Sort of like patch Adams… only probably funny… and not uncomfortable and lame….
Scott.
