This Sunday night at 7 on ABC 30, it's the 81st Annual Academy Awards (aka The Oscars.) It's the BIGGEST & BEST of all awards for motion pictures! The Oscars just also happens to be my favorite awards show of any, because I'm a HUGE movie fan! Although I haven't seen every film nominated this year, my vote - all the way - is for "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" starring Brad Pitt.
See a list of the other nominees here. I believe that not all Oscar winning Best Pictures stand the test of time and become "classics" such as "Gone with the Wind", "The Godfather" and "Rocky". Case in point...do you really remember Best Picture Winner "Amadeus"?

So, pop some popcorn and take a history trip down memory lane of Best Picture Oscar winners. Will modern day winners survive the test of time to become truly "classic films"? Only time will tell.
