So, I get into this ridiculous argument with my girlfriend Dale, over where Santa lives (I know, I know, most couples argue over money, infidelity, etc. Not us... It's this!) and I said something along the lines of, "you'd better watch it, or Santa's not going to visit you from the North Pole".

...And she blurts out "Lapland"!

I said, "Excuse me?"

"Santa's not from the North Pole, he's from Lapland", she said.

So we continue to argue about this, and I'm thinking, "how do I know you for 7 years, and just now find out that you're crazy!"

BUT... it turns out, she's right... I know, I can't believe it either.

Apparently Santa is Finnish, and lives in the northern most parts of Finland, Norway, and Sweden, in a place called Lapland, on Ear Mountain (ooh, imagine all of the nightmares children could have over this imagery!).

The reason why Santa doesn't live at the North Pole: No reindeer food!

I hate being wrong... I know I'll never hear the end of this!

Merry Christmas,

Scott.
