It has sure felt like summer in St Louis, but, today is actually the day of the Summer Solstice. The Earth's axial tilt is most inclined towards the sun. The Summer Solstice occurs on June 21st in the Northern Hemisphere, and on December 21st in the Southern Hemisphere.
