I don't know if you've picked up on it yet--but here at The Arch-we are not celebrating Ground Hog's Day today. We are celebrating Hedgehog's Day.
Supposedly-Hedgehog's Day was around 1st. Since the Hedgehog is nocturnal-the folk tale of Hedgehog's Day says we'll get 6 more weeks of winter if he sees his shadow from the moonlight.
It's all very interesting and something that our boss-Simon-uncovered. He foot the bill for an investigative report on Hedgehog's Day. You will hear bits of that report throughout the day today here on The Arch. And those reports include some fascinating interviews with Hoboken Harry--a hedgehog who's a little bitter about the fame that has come to Punxsutawney Phil.
So be listening for those special reports on the original February 2nd holiday--Hedgehog's Day-right here on The Arch.
