A gang of loud girls that included future rock stars Joan Jett and Lita Ford.
Their story hit the big screen at Sundance. Early reviews are vague, but all seem to refer to an onscreen kiss with stars Dakota Fanning and Kristen Stewart.
I cretainly hope this film turns out to be more "cherry" than "bomb". I've always been a fan of this band and it's time they got their props. Unbelievably their original releases are only available as expensive imports. Hopes for some remastered re-issues to commemorate the film seem dashed. The best way to introduce yourself to the music of The Runaways before seeing the film is by checking out tracks like "Cherry Bomb", "I Love Playing with Fire", "Take It Or Leave It", and the epic "Dead End Justice".
