This year, this band received Billboard Magazine’s award as one of the greenest bands on the planet, coming in at  number three after John Legend and Radiohead.

Their sixth studio album, currently scheduled for a Spring 2010 release, will be entirely green, the band is rehearsing and recording the album solely with solar power.  Taking advantage of that California sunshine, they installed a solar energy system at their recording facility that allows the group to practice and record completely off the grid.  Because they use 100% solar energy they actually get a check every month from the electric company

During the recording of the new album, they will share songs with their fans via a series of six free ringtones. A new song/ringtone will be released each week for the next six weeks.
