Science Downplays Last Year's Earthquake(s)

I'm a big fan of science, and usually it makes sense to me.  This time I'm not sure what to think.  The topic is the earthquake (and aftershocks) that we felt here last year.  New information points to their source and it may be about 200 years old.  If that is indeed the case, then what we experienced would technically be classified as "aftershocks" instead of actual quakes.  Regardless it still is a moment I will never forget!
