This is an English virtual band created in 1998 by Damon Albarn of Britpop band Blur, and Jamie Hewlett, co-creator of the comic book Tank Girl. The band is composed of four animated band members: 2D, Murdoc, Noodle and Russel.
Plans were unveiled for the band to go on a holographic world tour in 2007 and 2008. The cartoon members would be shown as holograms on stage using Musion Eyeliner technology, giving them a life-like appearance on stage. However, the tour was eventually called off due to budget issues. How very cool that would have been!
Tonights song comes from the record “Demon Days” and reached the top 10 in 14 countries. It is Gorillaz, “Feel Good Inc.”
