From the release of his self-titled debut album in 1980 to the release of his acoustic based, most recent CD, “11”, which debuted in the top ten of eleven international charts, Bryan Adams has kept up a relentless touring schedule, personally bringing his very distinctive vocals directly to his fans. This very special acoustic performance includes many classic hits, as well as the début of some soon to be favorites. “I think for a lot of people that haven’t heard me do [an acoustic tour] before, it will be intriguing, because to play a song like ‘Cuts Like a Knife’ on acoustic guitar is quite a different thing than hearing it with a full band,” Adams says. “I believe that that will give some insight into the songwriting and it shows that some of the new songs blend in. It’s like one solid body of work.”
The Grammy winning singer-songwriter has sold more than 65 million albums worldwide, has 21 top ten hits to his name, and has achieved #1 status in over 40 countries around the world. This international sensation has been nominated for three Academy Awards, five Golden Globes, an American Music Award and five ASCAP Film and Television Music Awards for Most Performed Song from a Motion Picture (his music has been heard on more than 40 music soundtracks).
With all his accomplishments and years in the business, Adams has not lost his love for making music. “It’s just so much fun to find another idea and to find another song,” Adams says. “I can’t explain to you how addictive that is.” With every new song, “It’s like, ‘Wow’. It’s great. It’s so nice to have a piece of new music. It’s the same buzz today as it was when I first started.”
- It rocks!
- Its just stupid.
- Its SPAM.
