Hey folks, Al here, It's my final plea asking for your help for a very worthy cause. That cause is BackStoppers, a charity that’s near and dear to all of us here at 1065 The Arch. Chances are probably pretty good you may know the family of a fallen Firefighter or Policeman who has been helped by these fine folks. This year The Arch been asked to help get the word out about a fundraising event that benefits BackStoppers, it’s the Fifth Annual Dave Mungenast Memorial Bike and Badge Ride benefiting BackStoppers, this Sunday October 4th.
Ask anyone who has been a part of past “rides” or one of the 400 who participated last year, and they will tell you this ride is one of the most scenic and fun of the season, and what makes it even better is that it’s for a fantastic cause. The ride begins in South County at Dave Mungenast St. Louis Honda Motorsports, and goes parade style, south on I-55 to historic Ste. Genevieve. Registration is $25.00 per bike and begins at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday October 4th at Dave Mungenast St. Louis Honda 5935 South Lindbergh.
Now, don’t let the fact that you don’t ride or own a bike stop you from helping out… You don’t have to ride a bike to participate. You can help by sponsoring Simon Archer’s bike in the ride. If you can help with anything please go back to the main page at 1065thearch.com and look to the right of the screen about half way down the page. There you will see a link to sponsor “Simon’s ride” and help us help out BackStoppers. If you do ride and would like to join the fun, you can pre register or learn more about this cool event at www.BikeandBadge.org.
Please help us help BackStoppers if you can, you’ll feel good about doing it, enjoy some great scenery, live music and food. Plus there’ll be ride shirts and pins available, all for a terrific cause. Thanks for taking the time to read this. I hope you’ll please consider supporting the great work BackStoppers continues to do helping the families of those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for all of us.
