SCROLL DOWN for JAY's BIO -

I was born in St. Louis and grew up here, Minneapolis and San Jose, California...a multi-city childhood that prepared me well for the rock band-style, gypsy touring life that is a career in radio.

It's been a blast seeing America by working and living in all quadrants of the USA - I've been to 46 of our states and seen a lot of our amazing country, living and working in places like San Jose/San Francisco, Minneapolis, Seattle, Milwaukee, Norfolk/Virginia Beach, Springfield, IL, Dallas and Charleston, SC. I previously worked in St. Louis radio from 1995-97 when KSD was classic rock - (I think they play Polkas of the Antarctic now).

I came back to StL for good in 2006 to take care of family matters and have been with THE ARCH since June of 2007. It is the most perfect music station I have ever worked for, allowing me to indulge my rawk side as much as my love for pop music. It's my passion to bring all kinds of music to you and to dig around for the fun facts and stories behind the tunes and the people who make them.

I'm really lucky to be on TEAM ARCH, and I really appreciate that YOU listen. Thanks!

A  moment of rudeness has now become so famous, that it has become a verb.  To "pull a Kanye" now means to rudely interrupt someone in public - so much the better if you do it while the person you're interrupting is onstage.

Here are some of the "Kanye Kwotes" that came out of Sunday night's Emmy Awards show:

I just have to wonder: Who's gonna pull a Kanye?"

-- Christina Applegate to Ryan Seacrest at the pre-show.

If Ryan wins, I’m pulling a Kanye.”

-- “Survivor” host Jeff Probst, referring to Ryan Seacrest before the show (both were nominated for outstanding reality show host)

All right, it's my job to keep things moving tonight. I'm here to ensure everything runs smoothly. Here's hoping Kanye West likes '30 Rock."

-- Emcee Neil Patrick Harris, starting the show.

I will make my speech as brief as possible in the hope that it won't be interrupted by a congressman or a rapper."

-- Ken Howard, accepting his award for supporting actor in a miniseries or a movie for "Grey Gardens."

Here's an amusing video from the Toronto Film Festival of Jack White of the White Stripes, pulling a Kanye by interrupting someone who is talking about making the latest video for his band.

It's entertaining, but a little disturbing - are all of these parodies of the original event from the MTV Video Music Awards pointing out the rudeness, or making it cool for people to try it themselves?

In addition to the Jack White video, take a look at a previously unseen recording of the Kanye West/Taylor Swift moment with microphones catching Christian Bale's reaction!
