According to rollingstone.com, a musical adaptation of Green Day's critically acclaimed 2004 album American Idiot is currently playing at the Berkeley Repertory Theatre in Berkeley, California. The musical features songs from the album and follows the story of Johnny as he, "...abandons backwater suburbia for the proverbial big city."
Band members and their families were on hand for opening night. The show has already been extended through November.
