Decades of music can often be defined by a single sound - the 60's are characterized by the psychedelic sounds of the Beatles....the 70's with a high pitched guitar solo and the 90's with the dirtier sound of a grunge guitar. The decade of the 80's had a sound all its own and it was dominated by the keyboard. Howard Jones had several hits with his distinctive brand of new-wavy synth pop....and the sound of his music is just perfectly 80's
Some fun facts about Howard Jones:
His keyboard work was so complex that when performing live, his bassist had to add a fifth string to provide the proper fill notes.
He performed at 1985 legendary LIVE AID concert
He was the keyboardist in Ringo Starr's All-Starr Band for 2001
He recorded a version of "Things Can Only Get Better" in SIMLISH - the fictional language spoken by characters in "The Sims 2"
