Jackson would have turned 51 years old and although he is not with us anymore sources say his party was celebrated in true celebrity fashion.
Spike Lee threw a big house party and thousands of fans put on one glove and moon walked the afternoon away!
The party wasn’t about mourning but about celebrating! DJ’s played his music that spanned 40 years, everything from the Jackson 5 to his final musical pieces.
There was also a giant white birthday cake that said “Happy Birthday Michael Jackson”.
Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz declared August 29th “Michael 'King of Pop' Jackson Memorial Day” in Brooklyn.
