STAYING COOL
Here are some ways for you to stay cool during these HOT and DANGEROUS high temperature days:
For a listing of cooling centers in the St. Louis area, click HERE or call 211. There is also a toll-free number: 1-800-427-4626.
For information on free fans, air conditioners and utility bill assistance for those who qualify, you can contact Cool Down St. Louis at 314-241-0001, ext. 103 or the St. Louis Area on Aging at 314-612-5918
Don’t forget about Fido and Fluffy! To get help for an animal affected by the extreme heat, call the Humane Society of Missouri Animal Abuse Hotline at 314-647-4400. In Illinois, you can contact your local law enforcement agency.
This info is about more than just being comfortable, it’s life-saving! Please pass this on to others that you know who might need the help, and if you can – look in on some of your neighbors if they are elderly or sick.
