School of Rock is brought to you by the Missouri Division of Tourism.
So don’t be sloppy seconds, don’t date your friend’s ex-boyfriends or ex-girlfriends…unless…you really think you might marry them and create a beautiful song from it.
As in the song “Adia” from Sarah McLaughlin. She was inspired to write it when she was going thru a really tough time. She’s no innocent woman, Sarah McLaughlin got involved with her best friend’s man but she later married him and some say the song reflects an apology in a way.
So in this part, the UNLESS worked out for her, if she didn’t get involved with this man then there would be no song “Adia” which became Sarah’s most successful US single she was even nominated for a Grammy for the song in 1999 but lost out to Celine Dion’s “My Heart Will Go On”.
And I guess she’s all happy and stuff with her man so, in this case it was ok to date a friend’s EX. But if your friend stops talking to you when you date their ex and then you and the ex break up...well that’s your own fault.
What do you think?
