Tonight’s lesson is about being nice to others, School of Rock is brought to you by the Missouri Division of Tourism.
This lesson teaches that yes, let’s be nice to others blah blah blah BUT if you have a song that goes off on people that are vein. It could make you lots of money…as in the case of Right Said Fred and their song “I’m Too Sexy”.
Members of Right Said Fred and brothers Richard and Fred Fairbrass worked at a gym together and were inspired to write this song after noticing all the male models that worked out there and were so into themselves that someone just had to make fun of them. SO they wrote a song all about them.
The brothers cut a rough demo of “I’m too sexy” and the song became a world wide smash. It topped the American charts for 3 weeks making Right Said Fred the first British act to accomplish such a feat with a debut single since The Beatles!
Tonight’s quiz question…When is it ok to make fun of people? When it inspires a song that makes you millions. Correct! You passed!
