Tom Settles was born and raised in a small town in Illinois before moving to the St. Louis area in the early 90′s. He became interested in a radio career after choosing to do a class report on the profession in high school and had the pleasure of interviewing “Radio Rich” Dalton as his subject. After graduation, he attended SIUE to earn my degree in Radio Broadcasting. Tom has been a longtime Blues fan and covers the team on a freelance basis. He’s had the honor of meeting some of the greatest players in NHL history just by doing his “job.”
While developing his on-air career, Tom has worked for a variety of formats from News & Sports to Contemporary Christian and Country to Rock n’ Roll. Ironically, he has worked on the same dial number twice, 106-5 – once in the late 90′s when the format was Country. It was at that station where Tom met his wife…long story short…she requested a song during the station’s Christmas night program and the rest is matrimony! They’ve been married for 12 years with 3 beautiful daughters. Now he’s on the frequency which is The Arch, so it looks like 106-5 is his lucky number!
