RUMORS OF A STL NELLY SHOW TONIGHT ARE TRUE!!
Nelly fans are abuzz about a performance tonight on Washington Ave. He’ll be throwing “Nelly’s Good Friday” show at Club Amnesia and there’s another buzz that the group he started with, St. Lunatics, will be performing with him.
I WISH I was brave enough (and young enough) to want to deal with the madness that will be happening on Wash Ave tonight, because it WILL BE a killer show.

Lady GaGa Falls Again!
She’s becoming an expert at falling down and bouncing right back up without missing a beat. But it does make one wonder..how is that possible? When you fall down while speaking, for instance, your voice gets interrupted and very noticeably. While singing, it’s pretty much impossible not to waver a bit if you jump or dance or fall.
Does it sound to you like her vocals may be recorded? You be the judge.

Your dog needs a buddy. Why? Read on…
There really is never a bad time to adopt a pup, but now is a great time! Stray Rescue of St. Louis is offering a great adoption deal through June 20th. “Spring to Adopt” is an effort to put more dogs in loving homes at 50% of the normal cost.
If you already have a dog, great! But your buddy needs a buddy! Dogs are better in pairs, in my opinion. They keep each other occupied and entertained but more importantly dogs are pack animals and crave the companionship of other dogs. Why do you think they get so excited when they see each other?
I’ve got 4, myself. Yes, I said 4. A Pug named Ling, a Beagle named Sophia and 2 Boston Terriers; Joey and Winston. All but one, my Puggy Ling were rescues. They’re my main source of laughter-better than any TV show.

LOU FEST LINEUP ANNOUNCED!
Last year was the launch of Lou Fest, an annual outdoor concert featuring several national and local bands. Last year’s 2 day event was held at Forest Park and was filled with concert goers from across the country.
I can see this show becoming one of the best festivals in the country in the coming years, and if that happens they’re going to need a bigger spot. Forest Park is just not crowd friendly, unless you plan on walking or “linking” it.
This year’s lineup is going to draw another big crowd with Jimmy Fallon’s house band “The Roots” as the headliner. TV On The Radio is another great band (with a big underground buzz) on the bill. You may not be aware of who most of the bands on the bill are, but more than likely your kids do.

Where is Duran Duran this weekend?
Why, at Coachella of course!
The English pop act is on Sunday’s bill at the 2011 Coachella Music & Arts Festival. The event’s currently under way at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California. Duran Duran will be part of a multi-day lineup that includes Kings of Leon, Arcade Fire, and Kanye West. In the lead-up to Sunday’s fest appearance, Duran Duran lined up a few additional Golden State gigs. The band played at the Fox Theatre in Pomona, California on Thursday. Duran Duran’s off to San Francisco tomorrow night, where they’ll take the stage at the historic Fillmore Theatre.
AVERAGE STL GAS PRICE IS $3.87
Gas prices are getting close to an all time high, and I don’t want to know how high they’re going to go. I did however, want to find out how I could get the most out of a full tank. Some of these tips I already know, but others were surprising.
The 3 BIG Savers:
1. SLOW DOWN – Keeping your speed close to 55 can save you big. Once you pass the 65 mph mark, your fuel efficiency decreases by as much as 20%, quickly burning your gas. Driving at 55 is the speed your car is most fuel efficient.
2. NO MORE JACKRABBIT STARTS AND STOPS – Slower acceleration cuts fuel use by 14%. Instead of going 0-60 in 10 seconds, try getting there in 15. Big saver.
3. USE YOUR CRUISE – Cruise control keeps your speed steady and prevents you from constantly “surging” the gas pedal.

Watch this video of a Lady Gaga performance on Sunday. Not only does she fall off the piano, barely missing the piano with her HEAD, but she never misses a beat while singing. She just gracefully rises up and keeps going!

Albert EL HOMBRE Pujols to be featured on 60 Minutes This Sunday
He’s doing more good than most professional athletes, and not just on the field. Our very own “El Hombre” will travel to his native Dominican Republic with the 60 Minutes crew for a humanitarian mission on behalf of the Albert Pujols Foundation. He regularly returns to help the country’s poor, providing necessities like medical care, mattresses and school supplies. He says he does it because he was once one of the poor little boys the impoverished country.
Watch this Sunday April 10th on CBS at 6p.m.
