Face scrub is something I will not go without. A minimum of 2X a weeks does wonders for your skin. Work up to doing it everyday and you’ll transform your skin. I found this EASY home made recipe. Much cheaper (and gentler) than store bought. Try it! Recipe is on my Twitter page. Follow me! https://twitter.com/Christy1065
Many families struggling financially find it hard to feed their families, let alone feed their pets. In many of these situations, loved pets are surrendered for adoption. Heartbreaking. Thankfully, Bi State Pet Food Pantry is there to help. Recently, PURINA donated 26,000 lbs of food to BSPFP – but they always need more! 26K lbs. only lasts for about 2 months. There are many donation drop off locations. Find one at BiStatePetFoodPantry.org
His reps claimed he dropped out of the project (hitting theaters next August) because of scheduling conflicts with his role on Sons of Anarchy. Now the true reason may simple come down to money. He was reportedly only being paid $125,000 to play Christian Grey!! Yes, not chicken scratch to you and me, but in Hollywood…..chicken scratch. Not to mention the movie is expected to make a miiiiiilllions. I don’t blame you, Charlie.
Dogs need buddies. Having a friend can make them more playful, less anxious and happier in general. There are thousands of homeless pets in the STL – one of them would be a great friend to you and your pet! Adopt from one of several rescues at Chesterfield Mall this weekend. ~Christy http://www.chesterfield-mall.com/event/pet-adoption-event/2145423820
A school in Connecticut has banned the phrase “Hump Day” after the camel voiced middle school students became a constant annoyance. “HUMP DAAAAEEEEYYY” gets them sent to the principal’s office. Not sure if “MikeMikeMikeMikeMike” is banned. The teachers have become the camel’s co-workers – so OVER IT! I’m not, still loving the camel. ~Christy https://twitter.com/search?src=typd&q=%23geicocamel

The question of whether or not Mia’s son Ronan is Frank Sinatra’s son or Woody Allen’s came up after her recent Vanity Fair article in which she said Frank is “possibly” Ronan’s father. For me, it didn’t become interesting until I saw the picture….http://www.kmov.com/entertainment/Mia-Farrow-Possible-son-is-Sinatras-226234551.html
ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? POSSIBLY?? No need to appear on Maury Povich, Mia. DNA test? He looks more like Frank than Frank Jr!
I’ll watch ANYTHING Jon Hamm is in, so of course I saw the Kimmel Imo’s bashing bit. Thanks for sticking up for peace, love and provel that is Imo’s, Jon! I agree with both of them – sort of. Jimmy is right – Imo’s is not the greatest if you get it delivered. The crispy cracker crust is floppy by the time the delivery arrives and I can’t imagine it being any better after a 3,000 mile trip to LA frozen or not. Jon’s right, it is our weird yet fabulous pizza. However, the only way to get a GREAT Imo’s pizza is to eat at the restaurant. ~Christy
I’mo’s response to the bashing….
“The message from Imo’s is the next time Jimmy is in town we want to extend an invitation for him to come out to our Imo’s test kitchen. We want to prepare all the things we are famous for. So open invitation, Jimmy,” said Dutch Guidici, an Imo’s franchise owner.
Gretchen and Alexis have been fired from Real Housewives of Orange County. Bravo fans were apparently tiring of the same old “poor me” story.
Other Housewives news: Teresa Guidice may soon be spending 50 years in prison, but she’s still working on a new contract with Bravo. Teresa and Joe will be on Watch What Happens Live with Andy on Sunday. No doubt he’ll try to get info, no doubt they’ll dodge his questions.
Kaley Cuoco is now engaged to her boyfriend of 3 months, tennis player Ryan Sweeting. She was engaged last year, but that ended. She was also at one time involved with her Big Bang Theory co-star Johnny Golecki.
Darryl Hannah says she has been struggling with Autism her entire life. After being diagnosed as a child, doctors wanted her mother to put her in an institution.
Matthew McConaughey’s first line on camera was, “alright, alright, alright..” from Dazed and Confused, released 20 years ago today. A GREAT movie with some young unknown actors that are now A list like McConaughey, Ben Affleck and others that went on to star in high profile roles. Anthony Rapp for example went on to star in the long running Broadway production of Rent. A great choice for your Netflix list. ~Christy

This stuff is SO cool – rock star cool. Cooler than catching a guitar pick at a concert, you can wear a bracelet made out of the guitar strings of your favorite artists! Eric Clapton, Brian May, John Mayer, Nancy Wilson, Mick Marrs, Avril Levigne, Joan Jett, Michael Franti and so many more. A little bit pricey, but the proceeds benefit different charities of the artist’s choice. I would consider these uni-sex styles, so they’re great for anyone on your gift list. Check it out at WearYourGear.org ~Christy
Haha! I wish I had a fraction of the brain power possessed by the amazing doctors in the Heart & Vascular Center at Barnes-Jewish Hospital. Why am I in scrubs with my co-workers Bo Matthews of WIL and Randy Karraker of 101 ESPN? We’re part of the upcoming campaign with the American Heart Association to fight heart disease and prevent the need for you to experience an unplanned tour of the H & V wing. We had the privilege of being IN THE O.R. witnessing a patient undergoing a major lifesaving operation. An incredibly sobering opportunity. Most of these life threatening situations can be avoided. In the coming months you’ll hear more about what Barnes and the American Heart Association in partnership with 106.5 The Arch are doing to educate and encourage you to be proactive in making minor lifestyle changes that can make a major impact on your health. Going into the new year, start thinking of what you’re going to do to get you and your family heart healthy.
Wow, this kid is a Cardinal fan. Every tear in his little body streams with grief, anguish and anger. I felt his emotional plea—with teary eyes and laughter. We share your pain, buddy. Just like love, baseball will break your heart.
Grab a tissue and watch.
Chris Carpenter made the team hold off on celebrating their big win on Friday night until rookie home run hero Pete Kozma could pop the first cork. They waited…and waited… and waited…
The song “Skyfall” was released on October 5th as part of “Global James Bond Day,” celebrating the 50th anniversary of Dr. No. Some are saying this is the best Bond theme ever. The movie hits theaters November 9th.
Get your flu shot! If you don’t, you’ll be sorry when you’re going through a box of tissues every hour or as they say, “praying at the porcelain altar.” Not fun, and a lot of the time avoidable. There are many, many different strains of the flu and the flu shot doesn’t prevent all of them but it could prevent the one that wants to invade your body.
Here is the link to the Barnes-Jewish sponsored clinic at various locations around the St. Louis area.

The Geico geniuses have done it again! Another funny spot, even without our favorite little English lizard!
We still love Tony LaRussa, and you can show him that love at his book release party for “One Last Strike” on September 24th Downtown at Left Bank Books from 12-5pm. My dog Joey, the cutest little Boston Terrier ever, is quite the tiny little sneak. He’s a little guy but has no fear when it comes to sneaking bites from the other dog’s food bowls. He was a puppy mill rescue, so it’s no wonder where he got his “eat or starve” mentality. But since feeding him Chef Michael’s Food For Dogs, this little issue has gotten worse. All of the dogs (4) love the mixtures of the dry Chef Micheal’s with the wet food, but he seems to go into lunatic mode at mealtime. He’s not snarling and showing teeth or anything, but if he thinks one of the other dogs isn’t eating it fast enough, oh yeah, he moves in.
Fair warning to anyone that has a dog that may have come from a shelter, or even one that shares mealtime with another canine friend—keep an eye on them. Chef Micheal’s is more flavorful and packed with real beef or chicken as the primary ingredient. With a food so different from ordinary dog food, they may think it’s human food. And you know how nutty they get when they get goodies.
Go to facebook.com/foodfordogs and “Like” Chef Michael’s and download a coupon to use at PetCo, Schnucks or your favorite store. And sign the “PAWtition” to bring the Chef Michael’s Food for Dogs food truck to STL! I’m hoping we can get it to stop at Food Truck Fridays at Tower Grove Park, which goes through October. Help me make it happen!
Imagine this dreamy scenario for your dog, he’s in a park, among many many squirrels, enjoying the shade and a bowl of gourmet Food for Dogs, courtesy of Chef Michael’s! And imagine this scenario for yourself, you’re in a park, among many many squirrels, enjoying the shade and stuffing your face with umpteen different kinds of food during Tower Grove Park’s Food Truck Fridays! You AND your dog could be enjoying these dreams together! Chef Michael’s Food for Dogs has joined the food truck craze after noticing there was nothing to provide our pets the same convenience for gourmet goods! I’m trying to get that food truck to stop here in STL and I need your help! Go to facebook.com/foodfordogs and “Like” Chef Michael’s and sign the “PAWtition” to bring the Chef Michael’s truck to Tower Grove Park’s Food Truck Fridays, you’ll even get a coupon while you’re there. I’ve been feeding my dogs Chef Micheal’s first and foremost because of the high quality ingredients, real beef and real chicken are the first ingredients. Not only that, the food was created to give them a human food experience with flavors and textures they haven’t been getting in any other dog food. They love it! Your dog will too, trust me. Dogs are the ultimate foodies, afterall. We’re not fooling them with the bland kibble, they know the difference.
