Lisa Marie Presley has given her blessing to Digital Domain Media Group to start work on creating a hologram of Elvis Presley to use for stage performances. The group will likely use existing footage of “The King” to construct a hologram similar to the one they created of the late Tupac Shakur (language NSFW).
Plans are already in the works for holograms of Jimi Hendrix and The Doors.
I saw this while I was on vacation last week so I apologize if it’s old news to you but I wanted to share. PBS recently asked Symphony of Science’s John D. Boswell to remix Mr. Rogers. Here’s the really cool result.
I have to admit, I sort of turned up my nose the first time I heard this but it’s kind of grown on me. Coldplay performed this live at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on May 4th this year as a tribute to Adam Yauch who died earlier that day.

OK, if you’re still here, there’s some leaked concert rehearsal footage that shows Madonna performing a mashup of “Express Yourself” with Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way”. Not sure if it’s meant as a tip of the cap to Gaga or a thumb of the nose, considering the outspoken criticism regarding the similarities between the songs. Here’s the video.
