Meet “Pepper” at the Kirkwood PetCo 11 to 3 Saturday and noon to 3 on Sunday!
Second chances should have no age limit.
This handsome man is “Pepper,” German Shepherd mix about 8 years old. He ended up in St. Louis County Animal Control after his owner died and has been rescued by St. Louis Senior Dog Project. He’s a sweet, gentle dog who enjoys walks and playing, but he doesn’t need a lot of exercise. Pepper would be fine in either an apartment or a house. He’s easy to take for walks. He can get over low fences and he’s clever enough to open gates that aren’t securely fastened. He likes all people and the dogs he’s living with now. Pepper may be a bit older, but you wouldn’t love him any less. He just needs someone to give him a chance and open their heart and home to him. Pepper is a Dixie Fund dog, meaning his adoption fee is only $50 with the Dixie Fund making it possible to lower his fee. For more info on Pepper, contact St. Louis Senior Dog Project.
