That’s because it gets easier for people to repeat the lies and also becomes harder for them to differentiate lying from telling the truth. Scientists studied 48 college students and concluded that if you practice lying, it becomes a less demanding task for the brain.
So, if you’re going to tell a fib, don’t do it off the top of your head. Practice makes dishonesty perfect.
