The annual Mardi Gras Pet Parade usually draws alot of people and their pets to Soulard. Well-this year’s event will for the first time feature a touring band. The Bacon Brothers-Kevin-of Footloose fame-and his brother Michael-and their band-will perfom. The event is set for February 3rd. The Grand Parade in Soulard will be Saturday February 9th. The Fat Tuesday Parade downtown is February 12th.

With the Super Bowl February 3rd-will come a new beer from Anheuser-Busch. Look for the first commercial during the big game for-Budweiser Black Crown. A-B says the new brew will be 6% alcohol and stay true to the original Budweiser recipe but with its own unique taste. Budweiser Black Crown will actually hit store shelves on January 21st.

Taylor Swift has broken up with her boyfriend. Her romance with Harry Styles of One Direction is rumored to be over. The couple shared a very romantic New Year’s Eve but then-apparently a few days later-had a big blowout fight.

 Kim Kardashian and Kanye West aren’t parents yet but they are the brand new owners of a multi-million-dollar mansion in Bel Air, California. TMZ says they recently dropped eleven million bucks on the home-only to gut it.  What’s going up in place will be a 14-thousand square foot Italian-designed villa-complete with a movie theater-gym-basketball court-bowling alley-salon-and indoor and outdoor pools.  

One Bend, Oregon man is combining his love of dogs and his love of beer in one new product. He has developed “Dawg Grog”–a beer for man’s best friend.  The non-alcoholic beverage is a simple mixture of vegetable broth-water-spent grain from a local brewery-and glucosamine. The puppy brewskies are now available in 16 ounce bottles online at DawgGrog.com.

Director David R. Ellis-best known for guiding Samuel L. Jackson through the 2006 action thriller “Snakes On A Plane”-has died. Ellis passed away suddenly in Johannesburg, South Africa Monday morning.  He was 60 years old.  A cause of death has yet to be revealed.
