‘Rick on Whatever’–Thursday 12/13/12

Nominations for the 70th Annual Golden Globe Awards were announced this morning.

Nominations for Best Motion Picture Drama include: “Argo” “Django Unchained” “Life Of Pi” “Lincoln” and “Zero Dark Thirty.” 

The directors for each of those films – Ben Affleck, Quentin Tarantino, Ang Lee, Steven Spielberg and Kathryn Bigelow – also earned nominations in the Best Director category. 

 ”Breaking Bad” “Boardwalk Empire” “Downton Abbey – Season 2″ “Homeland” and “The Newsroom” filled the category for Best TV Drama.  And “The Big Bang Theory” “Episodes,” “Girls” “Modern Family” and “Smash” are nominated in the category for Best TV Comedy or Musical. 

Next month’s Golden Globe Awards will also honor the achievements of actress Jodie Foster.  She will receive the Cecil B. DeMille Award.  Tina Fey and Amy Poehler will co-host.
