Kyle Lohse was originally drafted by the Chicago Cubs, but made his Major League Baseball debut with the Minnesota Twins in 2001. The right-hander pitched for the Reds and Phillies before signing with the Cardinals in 2008. Kyle was this season’s Opening Day starter and will throw tomorrow night in Atlanta as the Redbirds hope to advance in the post-season. From what I hear on our sister station, 101 ESPN, the Cards have no intention of re-signing Lohse for next season because he’ll be too expensive. C’mon! He’s been the team’s best pitcher this year. And yes, I know it’s not my money. Today is also the birthday of actress Alicia Silverstone. Following 1993’s The Crush, she received the MTV Movie Award for Best Breakthrough Performance. Alicia went on to star in Clueless, Scorched, Beauty Shop, and she portrayed Batgirl in Batman and Robin. Siverstone is married to Christopher Jarecki of the rock band S.T.U.N. and they have a one-year-old child named Bear Blu Jarecki. Both Kyle and Alicia are in their 30s. Who’s older?
