Fans wondering how Billie Joe Armstrong’s rehab visit might affect his mentorship appearance on “The Voice” need not worry. A rep for the NBC singing competition says the Green Day rocker taped his segments with Christina Aguilera’s team earlier this summer.
Armstrong made headlines this weekend for his epic meltdown at the iHeartRadio Music Festival Friday in Las Vegas. That’s where he delivered a profanity-laced tirade on stage and smashed his guitar to pieces after accusing organizers of cutting the band’s set short.
Green Day will be postponing upcoming appearances while Billie Joe seeks treatment. Green Day’s new album “¡Uno!” is due out today.

Justin Timberlake is bringing sexy back to MySpace. The singer has been an investor in the social media site that is gearing up for a re-launch. The company’s new owners Chris and Tim Vanderhook brought Timberlake on board to help them figure out how to make MySpace a social network for artists to communicate and connect with their fans. The Vanderhooks unveiled the site’s new look to more than 800 of the company’s employees at an event on Monday.
Mark McGrath has tied the knot. The Sugar Ray singer has confirmed to “People” that he and longtime girlfriend Carin Kingsland exchanged vows on Monday morning. The couple’s wedding took place in front of about 60 loved ones in Southern California. It’s both the bride and groom’s first marriage.
As for Sugar Ray, the band will be going on the road in South America in October just after coming off a successful tour with Everclear, Gin Blossoms and Marcy Playground.
