Who’s the burger-meister of The Lou? There’s a competition Sunday that is supposed to determine the answer to that carniverous question. It’s called Top Chefs: The Ultimate Grill-Off. It features five local chefs creating burgers that represent their own signature styles. Peter Clark from Bailey’s Range, Justin Haifely from the Tavern Kitchen and Wine Bar, Wes Johnson from Kota Grill, Cassy Vires from Home Wine Kitchen and Nick Zotos of Mike Shannon’s will go head-to-head to create their version of the ultimate mini-burger. Top Chefs: The Ultimate Grill-Off happens Sunday from noon to 4p at 5501 Pershing Avenue in the DeBaliviere Place neighborhood. Admission is $25 and covers five mini-burgers from the Top Chef contenders, a complimentary beverage, a Schnucks ice cream tasting and live entertainment. Plus, you get to vote for the chef you like the best.
