An amateur video clip is smoking out Lady Gaga‘s latest onstage stunt. Captured by a concertgoer at Gaga’s Amsterdam show on Monday, she was seen puffing on what appears to be a marijuana cigarette while onstage.
Ke$ha has finally revealed the details of her first album since 2010. After a few days of posting a series of cryptic photos on Instagram, she announced on Wednesday that her new album will be called “Warrior.” She also revealed that it will be hitting stores on December 5th, with the single called “Die Young.”
“Billboard’s” latest “21 under 21: Music’s Hottest Minors” list is dominated by some of pop’s biggest hitmakers. Justin Bieber tops the list, followed by One Direction and Demi Lovato to make up the top three. Bieber is at the top of his game prepping for his next world tour. One Direction has also taken the world by storm with their rise to fame after being discovered on the U.K.’s “X Factor.” The British-Irish boy band picked up three moon men at the MTV Video Music Awards earlier this month. Lovato has taken her career in a different direction, signing on to be a judge on the new season of “X Factor.” Her latest single, “Give Your Heart A Break,” recently went to number one as well. The top ten also includes Bieber’s girlfriend Selena Gomez, rap sensation Mac Miller and “American Idol” singer Scott McCreery. Miley Cyrus has dropped to number 17, and Korean pop singer IU and Mexican group 3Ball MTY also made the list.
Shakira is delivering pregnancy news. The Colombian pop star announced on her website Wednesday that she is indeed expecting her first child with soccer star Gerard Piqué. Rumors about Shakira being pregnant have been making the rounds for some time now but Wednesday’s announcement is the singer’s first official confirmation that she is with child. The 35-year-old singer was also just announced with Usher as a replacement coach for the next season of NBC’s “The Voice” as show stars Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green take a season hiatus. No word yet on whether her pregnancy will affect her new appointment.
With its new album, Away From The World, bowing at #1 on the sales chart this week, Dave Matthews Band reaches a new milestone, becoming the first group in chart history to have six straight studio albums debut atop the chart. Away From The World, the band’s eighth studio album, sold 266,000 units in its first week of release, according to Nielsen SoundScan. Dave Matthews Band also leads in a charge in which the entire top six albums on the chart are all new debuts for only the second time in history. The first time it happened was the week of October 11, 2003, according to Billboard.com.
Coming in behind DMB is Little Big Town‘s Tornado, which enters at #2 with 113,000 sold. Bob Dylan nets his fifth consecutive Top 10 studio album as Tempest starts at #3 with 110,000. It follows his hot streak of 1997′s Time Out of Mind, 2001′s Love and Theft, 2006′s Modern Times and 2009′s Together Through Life. The Avett Brothers scored their best week ever on the chart as The Carpenter bows at #4 with 98,000 sold. The band’s previous high-water mark came with 2009′s I and Love and You, which debuted and peaked with 40,000 sold in one week. Rock act the xx also saw its biggest sales week with Coexist, shifting 73,000 units for a #5 debut. Lastly, Rock legends ZZ Top score their highest debuting album ever, as La Futura enters the chart at #6 with 31,000. The set gives the trio its best rank since 1990′s Recycler reached #6. It’s also ZZ Top’s first visit to the Top 10 since 1992, when Greatest Hits went to #9, according to Billboard.com.
Aerosmith will return for the second leg of The Global Warming Tour, launching on November 8 in Oklahoma City. The month-long, 14-city arena tour will take the band to New York City (Madison Square Garden), Los Angeles (Staples Center) and Las Vegas (MGM Grand Garden Arena), among other cities. The tour will include support act Cheap Trick and tickets go on sale Monday, September 24. Aerosmith’s new album, Music From Another Dimension, comes out on November 6 via Columbia Records.
Maroon 5 has been announced as the first act to perform at The Grammy Nominations Concert Live, which will air on Wednesday, December 5, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Maroon 5 will join longtime host LL Cool J for the event when it airs on CBS from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville.
