A marine biologist is naming a new species of crustacean after reggae legend Bob Marley. The “Gnathia marleyi” is a parasite that infests fish in the coral reefs of the Caribbean. Paul Sikkel of Arkansas State University said he named the critter after Marley due to his respect and admiration for him. He added that the Gnathia marleyi is as uniquely Caribbean as Marley.

Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora  turned 53 on Wednesday and celebrated his birthday by giving fans a free download of his new song, “Every Road Leads Home To You.” The track will be on Sambora’s upcoming third solo album, “Aftermath of the Lowdown.” He’s also inviting fans to contribute to the song’s video, asking them to read the lyrics before listening to the song, and send him a photograph of something they feel reflects the song’s sentiment.  More information and recent submissions are posted on RichieSambora.com.

Whitney Houston‘s New Jersey mansion is still up for sale.  The five-bedroom, five-bathroom property in Mendham has been on the market for more than three years.  She bought the home in 1987 for two-point-seven-million-dollars. Realtors say there was a lot of interest in the property following Houston’s death earlier this year. The large home was the site of Houston and Bobby Brown’s 1992 wedding.

If Steven Tyler returns to “American Idol,” he could end up working with Charlie Sheen. “Idol’s” executive producer Nigel Lythgoe  says the actor is among the stars being considered as a judge for the next installment of the show.

Miley Cyrus is sporting a new tattoo on the inside of her left forearm is a quote from a speech delivered in 1910 by President Theodore Roosevelt. It reads, “So that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who knew neither victory nor defeat.” Miley has yet to address the meaning or reason behind her latest addition to her tattoo collection. The newly engaged singer has several tattoos including one on the left side of her rib cage that reads “Just Breathe.” She also reportedly has tattoos of an equal sign, a heart, a dream catcher and a skull among others.
