Though the probability was very, very small to begin with, it seems that, that chance has now been curbed to roughly 0.0. Later in the day, yesterday, NASA (and other appropriate agencies) determined that the Upper Atmosphere Research Satellite (UARS), that happens to be the size of a school bus, will not be falling to Earth over North America. Hooray! That’s one less thing to worry about, right? Like all things science-related facts could change, but for now let’s just bask in the illusion of safety!
